On the occasion of ‘Thiruvonam’ Festival the wish that, Maaveli was granted by Lord Vishnu was to be able to see his people once every year and Mythri college of Nursing ensured that the sight he saw this year was a grand one.

The onam celebration was well organized by 3^rd year  B.Sc (N) students at Mythri Girls Hostel. A large group of students started making a variety of traditional decorations using kilos of colorful flowers. The traditional flower carpet called the Pookalam was beautifully drawn and designed from the petals of colorful flowers.

All together girls and boys represented and were stunning in their traditional sarees and dhotis respectively to participate in the procession.

The programme was started at 12.30pm and inaugurated by the Chief Guest Mr. Nishith K.H, Administrative officer and  Mrs. Devaneethi.R Principal Mythri College of Nursing.Followed by inauguration delicious onam sadhya (Food) prepared by 3^rd year B.Sc (N) students, all staff and students enjoyed the love and tasty sadhya served in traditional banana leaves.

After the delicious lunch dignitaries and students were entertained by thiruvathirakali (Traditional women’s dance). Forenoon programme started with ‘Malayali Manga’ and few indoor and outdoor games for students were organized.

All the students have participated with great enthusiasm and winners in the competition were congratulated with prizes.Finally the great day was ended up with music and everyone had fun till it was time to leave and the programme ended at 5.30pm.
